Comment:
My apologies for another long wait. Hopefully the backlog will be cleared
by the time the jubilee (30th OQRPC in July) contest takes place.
There were many participants this time: 217 entries and a high number of
checklogs, mostly from non-original QRP stations. Maybe the latter OPs can
borrow an original QRP station from a friend. Most QRPers (including me) have
more than one station.
Home brew equipment dominates the VLP class. In the QRP class there is a
balance between commercially built and home made or built from KIT gear.
Kenwood TS1X0Vs lead the MP class.
The adjudication took so long because there is a lot of manual work
involved. When a log isn't perfect, lacks information, or whatsoever, we
inquire. All this costs plenty of time. I convert e-mail logs into a
common format, again manually.
You can help a lot by making sure your log complies with the format shown
at http://www.qrpcc.de/e-Maillogs or is in Cabrillo.
Absolutely make sure your details are complete: Equipment used, built by
yourself? (an Elecraft K2 could just as well have been built by a previous
owner).
Please don't use file names like contest.txt, but use .
e.g. dl1rnn.stf. If you'd further declare your call sign and the class of
participation in the -header of your e-mail, you'd be helping a
lot to reduce expenditure of time and possible errors.
And now please use the remaining two days to check equipment and antennas,
so you'll only need to power up on New Year's Day. :-)
