The Minimalists' Voice: (Thank you Eddi for translation, DK3UZ)
-----------------------

It was great fun participating in the *MAS* from here in New England!
The conditions were generally good, although a number of stations complained
about QRN level.     (AA1TJ)

QRM and QRN were too strong, therefore only 4 QSOs. (DL2AWA)

Because of violent thunder storms near Dresden the QRN made copying weak
signals a real challenge. I apologize for incomplete QSOs with some stations,
also from OE. (DL1DXA)

Although the thunder storm had gone the crackle was still audible
violently in the RX. Didn't degrade the fun though. (DL6CGC)

My intended rig could not be used because the transistors ordered 6 weeks
before did not arrive in time. I used the standard Pixie 2, with a VXO and
doubled transistors in the PA socket for 190mW. (VE7NSD)

I called a few MAS stations, but got no reply. They had simple RXs, I
suppose. It would be nice to have the rules recommending the frequency range
from 3560-3580kHz. (RW3AI)

Sorry I did not hear you in the MAS - CONTEST, but  the QRN was very heavy
here during the first two hours, and most of the time the noise was so
intensive, that  communication was imposible. May is known for its thunder
storms, but I was not prepared for such a violence.  Needless to tell you
that I already have redesigned the TRX and hope to cu in the next OQRP
CONTEST. (OZ9KC)

Lots of fun, unfortunately conds were very poor. (DL6AWJ)

Only a few QSOs this time due to heavy QRN. (DK8SX)

   Strong QRN here. (F6BWO)

                            . . . - . -
